I am a certified Kundalini
Yoga teacher who is dedicated to bringing this technology to people
living with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and other chronic illnesses.
This comes from my own experience of living with severe MCS for the last
decade after a chemical injury. Kundalini Yoga has given me the tools to
be self-empowered about my healing journey and the technology offers so
much that can directly address imbalances in the physical organ systems,
as well as the energy bodies, that occur with this condition. My hope is
to provide accessibility, safety, inspiration and the incredible
benefits for mind, body, soul, etc. offered by Kundalini Yoga as taught
by Yogi Bhajan, to a population of people who are usually excluded from
much of life, including yoga centers.
I come to Kundalini Yoga with an educational background in Psychology and the
Arts from
Carnegie
Mellon University. I also studied and became licensed as a massage therapist at
Dr. Jay Scherer's Academy of Natural Healing. After becoming ill, I started a
non-profit farm animal sanctuary that specializes in ruminants, called The Sheep
Sanctuary. My work with animals, my life experience, and my previous study in
the Hakomi Trauma Training has given me a special interest in working with PTSD,
and I am working on a curriculum for teaching Kundalini Yoga for trauma
resolution as well as one for MCS. It is also my wish in the future to be able
to teach girls suffering from eating disorders or at risk of that, because of
the self-esteem building elements of Kundalini Yoga.

I am assisted in my teaching by an incredible service dog from Assistance Dogs
of the West named Ami, and my hope is that others living with disabilities will
feel encouraged to let nothing stop them from fulfilling their destiny.
